The officers of the Board of Trustees shall be: a President; a Vice-President; and a Secretary, elected at the January meeting. The officers shall serve a term of one year, and until their successors are elected. A vacancy in any office may be filled at any regular meeting for the balance of the term.
It shall be the duty of the President to preside at all meetings; to appoint all committees, unless otherwise ordered; and to perform such other duties as by custom, law, or the rules of the Board of Trustees shall devolve upon him/her. The President shall serve as an ex-officio voting member of all committees.
It shall be the duty of the Vice-President to act in the place of the President in his/her absence or disability.
It shall be the duty of the Secretary to sign and approve an accurate and permanent record of the proceedings of the Board of Trustees; with the Fiscal Officer, to have the care and custody of the records and papers of the Board of Trustees, which shall be held with the Fiscal Officer; and to perform such duties as are customarily performed by such an officer or are required by the Board of Trustees. When the Secretary is absent from a meeting, the Board shall choose a Trustee who is present to serve as Secretary.
