Public money must be deposited to a designated depository on the business day following the day of receipt. If the number of daily receipts does not exceed $1,000, money may be held past the next business day, but the deposit must be made no later than 3 business days after receiving it. If the amount exceeds $1,000, funds must be deposited on the first business day following the date of receipt.
