Some parents may find some printed materials, audio-visual materials, and/or electronic materials inappropriate for their children. It is not the library’s policy to decide to which ideas individual children should be exposed. Censorship on the part of public libraries is prohibited by the U.S. Constitution’s First Amendment. Parents should help their children in selecting appropriate materials.
